Tunisia, Parliament rejects confidence in the government. Now, a new name for exit from the political stalemate that has lasted three months
The tunisian Parliament has voted against confidence in the government of prime minister-nominee Habib Jemli , a leading exponent of islamic-inspired party Ennahda, as well as former secretary of State for Agriculture and a specialist in agricultural development and management of the company. After a long day of debates, 72 members of the Assembly of people's representatives has voted in favour, 134 against and 3 abstained.

The premier appointed by the president of the Republic on 15 November last year, had been proposed by the board of direction of the relative majority party Ennhadha between a shortlist of names.

The task of Jemli had not been easy. After asking for an extension of a month, on the 13th of December last, and came to delineate a possible coalition, the premier in charge, he had to cash in on the defection of Attayar, Echaab and Tahya Tounes and the no of Qalb Tounes, the factors that had convinced him to opt for a government of "independent personalities", "a national, integral and transparent".
