In California, the undisputed queen of the circuit crushed the competition during this WTA 1000 tournament, like the final won 6-4, 6-0 against the Greek Maria Sakkari (9th in the world). The Pole, who regained her throne last fall, took the opportunity to gain even more lead over Aryna Sabalenka (10,715 points against 8,195).

Finalist last year at Indian Wells, the Belarusian was eliminated in the round of 16, by the American Emma Navarro, who climbed to 20th place (3). Beaten in the half by Sakkari, another American, Coco Gauff, completes the top three in a ranking which otherwise sees little change.

Among the French women, Caroline Garcia, beaten in the 3rd round in California, lost an additional place (27th). Eighth finalist, Diane Parry, on the other hand, continues her progression: at 21, she has the best ranking of her career, in 54th place (7). Clara Burel is 45th (2).
