Tennis: Rune continues and joins Sinner in the quarter-finals of Monte-Carlo

Holger Rune, 7th in the world, will have left his feathers, but after 3h30 of arm wrestling, last year's finalist dismissed Grigor Dimitrov (9th) 7-6 (11/9), 3-6, 7-6 (7/2), Thursday in the round of 16 in Monte-Carlo. Both the Dane and the Bulgarian had previously had to finish their second round match, which started the day before and was interrupted by rain.

Dimitrov took just 25 minutes to get rid of Miomir Kecmanovic, but Rune played 63 minutes before being given an hour and a half of rest and returning to the court to battle with the Bulgarian. So much so that he will have played 4h33 on Thursday when his next opponent on Friday, Jannik Sinner (2nd), will have only spent 1h16 on the court.
