It's the voice of Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's former lawyer, who continues: "I have to open a transfer company for all this information about our friend David, you know... So that... . This conversation, recorded on September 6, 2016 - two months before the presidential election - appears to refer to the payment of David Pecker - former tabloid boss - to Karen McDougal, a Playboy model with whom Trump had a relationship. The 72-year-old man was the first witness called to the stand. He said he bought the exclusivity of the testimony so that it would not be published elsewhere. “We didn’t want it to embarrass Mr. Trump or affect his campaign,” he said.
