The first transatlantic race (East-West) exclusively reserved for Class40 sailboats and raced in crews of three, the Niji40 crowned the Franco-Spanish trio Xavier Macaire, Pierre Leboucher and Carlos Manera Pascual at the helm of Groupe Snef. The three sailors crossed the finish line in the Caribbean night at 3:06:28 a.m. local time (9:06:28 a.m. Paris time).

Departing on April 7 from Belle-île-en-Mer (Morbihan), the winners took 14 days 20 hours 06 minutes 28 seconds at an average of 9.87 knots to return to the sweetness of the tropics and Marie-Galante in Guadeloupe ( via SantaMaria in the Azores to be left on the starboard side).

Acrobatica, in the hands of Alberto Riva, Jean Marre and Benjamin Schwartz, took second place, arriving less than an hour after Xavier Macaire and his two friends. The podium should be completed during the day by Vogue with a Crohn (Pierre-Louis Attwell, Maxime Bensa, Sophie Faguet).
