A masterclass for parents to fill in their gaps before Taylor Swift concerts

Accompanying your child to a Taylor Swift concert is a challenge in its own right. The record-breaking American singer can count on her large community to fill concert halls. But the youngest Swifties are often accompanied by their parents, who sometimes remain closed to the phenomenon.

To fill their gaps, Glasgow Clyde College offers accompanists a “Taylor Swift Masterclass”. Program for this express training: know the pieces, the costumes, the artistic evolution of the artist so as not to get lost in the middle of the pit full of glitter on June 7, 8 and 9, where she will perform in Edinburgh. Because the Swifties are part of the show in themselves: costumes, bracelets, boot customizations and lots of sparkles... Robert Anderson, deputy head of curriculum at Glasgow Clyde College, said in The Independent: "Taylor madness doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon, and we expect it to peak here in Scotland in June."

What caught the attention were these dads filmed, and sometimes disguised to go to the show without even understanding why. Glasgow Clyde College wants to “prepare those who will be attending the concert with their child superfans, friends or partners to ensure they have an equally memorable time.”

The course, scheduled for May 7, is free. Participants will review the albums Fearless and Folklore, central elements of the approximately 3h15 show. The Eras Tour is a 45-song set, so you need a few basics to appreciate the event.
