NBA: Atlanta and Orlando will face off in Mexico in a relocated match

The Atlanta Hawks will face the Orlando Magic on Nov. 9 in a relocated NBA game in Mexico City, the North American Basketball League announced Wednesday.

It will be the 32nd NBA game played in Mexico since 1992, the most league games held outside the United States and Canada.

The Magic will play on this occasion his fourth game in Mexico since 2012. But it will be the first for Paolo Banchero, star of the franchise since he was selected in first position of the draft last year.

The Hawks will play in Mexico City for the first time in club history. Their owner Steve Koonin said the team, which played in the first NBA games held in Abu Dhabi in 2022, "can't wait to meet the Mexico City fans and experience the city's wonderful culture."

His Magic counterpart, Alex Martins, wrote in a statement: “The Magic have already visited London twice, Japan, China, Brazil and Mexico. We are thrilled to be able to represent the NBA and Orlando.”
