Mercato: Strasbourg steals Dreyer from Saint-Etienne to replace Sels

Saint-Etienne goalkeeper Matthieu Dreyer was transferred to Strasbourg, ASSE announced during the night from Thursday to Friday.

Aged 34, Dreyer arrived at the Greens last season. He played eleven Ligue 2 matches with the Saint-Etienne club.

Matthieu Dreyer was trained in Sochaux where he started professionally before playing for Fréjus-St-Raphaël (National), Troyes, Caen, Amiens, Lorient before signing for Saint-Etienne at the end of August 2022 for a two-year contract which expired on June 30.

Dreyer lost his starting place with the arrival of Gauthier Larsonneur with the Greens. In Strasbourg, his arrival compensates for the departure of Matz Sels to Nottingham Forest.
