At Suzuka, during the Japanese Grand Prix, Max Verstappen scored the 57th victory of his career. The 26-year-old Dutchman, already a three-time world champion, also exceeded the milestone of 3,000 laps at the head of a Formula 1 round. He becomes the fourth driver to exceed this mark.
Ahead of Ayrton Senna and his 2931 laps in the lead, the Red Bull driver remains just off the podium in the ranking of laps spent at the head of a GP. In third position is the former Red Bull, Sébastian Vettel (3501 laps). Legend Michael Schumacher ranks second (5,111 laps) while the record goes to Briton Lewis Hamilton with 5,455 laps.
