The remuneration of Carlos Tavares, boss of Stellantis, will reach up to 36.5 million euros for 2023

Once again the stratospheric remuneration of Carlos Tavares, the boss of Stellantis, will fuel conversations. The boss of the group born from the merger of PSA and Fiat Chrysler should see his remuneration jump 56% this year thanks to a bonus of 10 million euros. In fact, the board of directors has just rewarded him for having succeeded in making the group a “sustainable technological mobility provider”. The Stellantis boss's emoluments could ultimately reach 36.5 million euros for the year 2023, an increase of 56% over one year.

The group puts the importance of this increase into perspective: the basic remuneration of the “boss” for 2023 has remained at 2 million euros, unchanged for 3 years. “Its fixed amount added to the variable amounts to 13.5 million euros”, or 1.4 million euros less than in 2022”.

Finally, at the same time, long-term incentives have been awarded and recorded for an amount of 13 million euros, but they will be paid subject to potential future achievements.

Carlos Tavares leads, it is true, one of the most profitable groups in the world. Stellantis is ranked 16th in the world. Its operating margin in 2023 reached 12.8% of turnover, an exception in the automotive world.
