The organization pointed to a "lack of recognition in the remuneration of its hostesses and stewards", a "significant change in schedules on numerous occasions during the month", a "disconnection during rest days not respected" and "many payroll errors.

Vueling employs some 190 hostesses and stewards in France, and 90% have said they are willing to stop work, a union representative told AFP, on condition of anonymity. Vueling's SNPNC-FO "remains open to negotiation with management in order to find a solution, however in view of the last meetings (...), we can only note a total failure in the negotiation", according to the press release.

Contacted by AFP, management did not respond immediately. The consequences of the social movement on aircraft movements are not yet known. According to the union representative, Vueling operates 30 to 40 flights a day in France, including from Paris-Orly where nine planes are based. Vueling flights to Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle would not be affected, as these are rotations carried out from bases abroad.

Founded in 2004 in Spain and focused on "low-cost", Vueling is a member of the IAG group, alongside British Airways and Iberia in particular.
