Speedy France: the car repair brand victim of a cyberattack

Cyberattacks are increasing this month of April. After the Cannes hospital and a Sino-Dutch semiconductor manufacturer, it is Speedy France’s turn to be targeted by online pirates. “We inform you that a cybersecurity incident has been identified” in the company, Speedy posted on its site this Saturday.

“It is possible that some of your personal data has been compromised,” warns the auto repair brand. “We immediately mobilized our teams of experts and our partners specializing in the management of this type of incident, in order to take the necessary protective measures, then carry out the appropriate investigations,” adds Speedy France. In addition to having mobilized its teams, the company also “notified this incident” to the National Commission for Information Technology and Liberties (CNIL).

To avoid further data leaks, the car repairer has stopped online appointment booking. “Speedy France attaches paramount importance to the security of customers and its partners, as well as the protection of their personal and professional data,” assures the company. Customers now have the option to contact customer service if they encounter any difficulties caused by this cyberattack.
