2024 Olympics: civil servants will be entitled to additional compensated teleworking days

Civil service agents will be able to telework ten more days in 2024 due to the Olympic Games during which the administration calls for strengthening teleworking, according to a decree published on Saturday in the Official Journal. This decree sets “the ceiling amount of the “teleworking package”” for 2024 and calculates this compensation at 282.24 euros for ten additional days.

Bonuses, nursery places, reinforced teleworking: the administration is planning a series of measures to support public officials who will be mobilized during the Olympic Games (July 26-August 11) and Paralympic Games (August 28-September 8). Agents working in Île-de-France “are invited, as far as possible, to limit their travel by vehicle between July 1 and September 9, 2024”, we could read in March in a provisional document sent to the secretaries general of ministries, the General Directorate of Administration and Civil Service (DGAFP).

Exceptionally, agents will be able to exceed the usual limit of three days of teleworking per week and the annual quota of compensated teleworking days will be increased by ten days. When teleworking is not possible, public employers are encouraged to “adapt the staggering of leave” for their agents or to adjust their working hours, “in particular to limit the use of public transport during the most frequent time slots”. loaded”.
