Images of Napoleonic battles on an adaptation of Black Sabbath's War Pigs, this is the curious mix that Ridley Scott and the Apple TV teams offer us for the final trailer for the Napoleon biopic. This Wednesday the second and final trailer was unveiled for the new film by Ridley Scott, director of Blade Runner and Alien, which will be released in theaters on November 22. We see a Napoleon (played by Joaquin Phoenix) conquering and more tyrannical than ever, however revealing some flaws in his passionate relationship with the aristocrat Joséphine de Beauharnais, played by Vanessa Kirby. The choice of actress was debated since Vanessa Kirby, revealed in the series The Crown, is 35 years old, thirteen years younger than Joaquin Phoenix (48 years old). In historical facts, the emperor's wife was 6 years his senior.

This film with high Oscar potential seems to be eagerly awaited by fans of cinema... but also of history. Because in addition to shooting a feature film on the history of France in English, Ridley Scott also allowed himself some historical deviations such as the choice of epaulettes, the power of the cannons and Napoleon's incredible rides on the battlefields ( which probably never existed).

In addition to the couple Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby, we will find other familiar faces on screen, such as Tahar Rahim, Ludivine Sagnier and Matthew Needham.
