Death of Keith Jefferson, Quentin Tarantino's favorite actor

American actor Keith Jefferson, who notably worked three times for Quentin Tarantino in the films Django Unchained, The Bastard Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, died on October 5 of cancer, at the age of 53 years. He made his illness public in August.

His great friend, actor Jamie Foxx (Ali, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Django Unchained) paid him a vibrant tribute on his Instagram account: “"It's a terrible pain. Keith, you will have been an exceptional person throughout your life, your heart is pure and the love you gave was immense. You were an incredible soul. We will all miss you immensely. It will take a long time to heal from your absence. Goodbye, my friend. I will love you love".

Django Unchained by Quentin Tarantino in 2012, with Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Keith Jefferson...

Keith Jefferson was born on April 7, 1970 in Houston. After studying drama at the University of San Diego and then at the University of Arizona, the year he turned 25, he landed his first role in With or Without Men by director Herbert Ross.

But it is obviously his commitments to Quentin Tarantino that will mark his career. In 2012, he was found playing Pudgy Ralph in Django Unchained. He will share the bill here with Leonardo DICaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and of course with his stage brother Jamie Foxx. His talent will be put to use again by the director of Pulp Fiction in The Salopards Eight (2015), where he plays Charly and in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), where he plays the role of Keith.

His admirers will be able to see him one last time on October 13, since Keith Jefferson will be in the credits of The Burial, still alongside his friend Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones. The film will be broadcast on Prime Video.
