Refuses to squeal on Wikileaks: Should be behind bars

A u.s. court has decided that the former efterretningsanalytiker and whistleblower Chelsea Manning should be in prison, because she refuses to testify in an investigation of Wikileaks.

Chelsea Manning was a soldier in Iraq, when she in 2010 shared a number of documents with Wikileaks. Among the over 600,000 confidential files that were leaked was a video, where u.s. troops killed unarmed civilian iraqis.

Manning, who was previously male and named Bradley, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for leaking military secrets.

She was, however, pardoned by president Barack Obama and released in may 2017.

Now the court requires that the Manning witnesses in a case against Wikileaks – otherwise she should be sitting behind bars for an indefinite period of time. She says that she refuses to testify.

Since Manning was imprisoned 8. march, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been thrown out of his exile in the Ecuadorian embassy in London and arrested by the british police.

the UNITED states accuses Julian Assange of hacking and requires the australian handed over to the prosecution.

Since Chelsea Manning was released, is she as transgender among other things, been an advocate for transkønnedes rights. She tried last year, unsuccessfully, to be elected to Congress for the Democrats.
