Missing Valerie (24) found dead in suitcase

on Tuesday morning found a veiarbeider a red suitcase lying a few metres beyond the roadside during a routine checks in a neighbourhood in the city of Greenwich in Connecticut.

On the inside of the suitcase found police a dead woman. She was fully dressed and bound at the hands and feet.

on Wednesday the woman was identified as the missing Valerie Reyes (24) from New York, writes CNN. She was last seen 29. January, and was reported missing the day after when she never showed up on the job.

Greenwich is located approximately 55 miles outside of New York City.

- They are naturally broken over the loss of Valerie. Our deepest condolences goes to them, " says the Greenwich police about the relatives.

- During this unimaginable difficult time asking our family for love, support and respect for the loss of my beautiful daughter Valerie Reyes, who now rests in heaven, " says Valeries father in a statement, according to The Hartford Courant.

the Cause of death is currently not known, and no one is arrested in the case.

The cold weather will have made it difficult for the coroner to immediately determine whether she has been killed, but during a press conference Tuesday afternoon, lit the police that they are investigating the incident as a homicide.

Their theory is that the death has occurred in a location other than where she was found.

He told me that they have received several tips regarding the woman's identity, and that they followed up all the input to, hoping to identify her as quickly as possible.

- I'm used to seeing things like this on film and tv, but have never experienced something so close. I'm shocked, " said Chanya Champagne, who works at a local cafe in the vicinity of the crime scene.

I hope they find out the of home behind, it is scary to know that the perpetrator move around freely,

David Zimmer, who works at a local coffee shop, is not as surprised.
