The FFF victim of a major computer attack

Hackers attack the French Football Federation. As the Police Prefecture reveals in a press release relayed by the government site Cybermalveillance, “the FFF was the victim of a computer attack which led to the exfiltration of personal data”. And continues: “This violation is likely to concern in particular identity data (surname, first name, gender, date and place of birth, nationality), legal representative for minors, postal address, email address, telephone number, license number and club. Only data relating to license requests for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons are likely to be affected. However, passwords, bank details, medical data and identity photographs are not affected. “3F” has already filed a complaint and reported the incident to the CNIL.

Citing the Paris Prosecutor's Office, BFMTV assures that this attack "potentially" concerns 1.5 million pieces of fraudulently collected data. The “Fédé” would have been informed of this on March 22. “A preliminary investigation carried out on the instructions of section J3 of the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office is open to the Cybercrime Brigade (BL2C) of the Judicial Police Directorate of the Paris Police Prefecture for the offenses of attacks on automated data processing systems, fraudulent collection of personal data and concealment of property resulting from a crime,” we assure.
