Tennis: Dimitrov in the final in Geneva

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the final of the ATP tournament in Geneva on Friday, his first since February 2018 in Rotterdam, overcoming a set and a break delay against American Taylor Fritz.

The former world No. 3, who is now ranked 33rd, fought three hours before winning the tie-break (3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-2)) against current world No. 9, in search of benchmarks on clay on the eve of Roland-Garros, where Fritz has never exceeded the third round.

The other semi-final will oppose the German Alexander Zverev (N.27), hardly physically affected by his quarter-final won after abandonment against the Chinese Wu Yibing on Thursday, the Chilean Nicolas Jarry (N.54), who defeat of the double title holder and big favorite of the tournament, the Norwegian Casper Ruud (N.4).
