Title holder in Mexico, Australian Alex de Minaur reached the final four of the ATP 500 tournament in Acapulco on Thursday by beating Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas for the first time, in three sets 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 .
Seeded N.3, De Minaur will face the Briton Jack Draper in the semis, while the second confrontation will pit the Norwegian Casper Ruud, who defeated Ben Shelton, and the Dane Holger Rune.
The latter beat the German Dominik Koepfer in the quarterfinals. Alex de Minaur, 9th in the world, defeated Tsitsipas (12th) in just over two hours and gleaned his very first victory against the Greek in 11 meetings.
