Sony launches a new range of speakers and headphones: This is ULT

The Bluetooth speaker market maintains very good growth figures and is expected to continue rising in the coming years. According to Statista, annual shipments of Bluetooth audio devices worldwide amounted to 1.36 billion units in 2022 and are projected to reach 1.84 billion units in 2027.

Given these perspectives, Sony has decided to open a new family of devices, ULT Power Sound, with three ranges of equipment very focused on making the most of the latest technology (ULT comes from ultimate) and targeting lovers of the deepest sound.

Specifically, the company has announced new wireless speakers, ULT-Field 7 and Fiel 1, headphones, ULT-Wear and a sound tower, ULT-Tower 10.

The idea, as they said in the presentation, is to look for that segment of users who are fans of hip.hop, urban music or rap, who are looking for the latest in technology and want to exponentially improve their bass experience.

To improve this bass experience, in fact, this new range of equipment proposes up to two levels of bass optimization, which at first contact draws a lot of attention for how it improves listening, both in the speakers and in the headphones.

In order to easily switch between these two levels, all ULT family devices incorporate a button that allows you to switch between both modes.

The new Sony headphones maintain a very similar aesthetic to the well-known WH-1000X, but they would be positioned as a lower range than these. They boast exceptional bass and using the ULT button you can switch between deep low frequency bass and powerful bass.

Additionally, they are powered by Sony's V1 integrated processor, the same processor that powers Sony's 1000X range, and feature noise cancellation.

They are quite comfortable and have been sold in black, forest gray and white since April 2024 with an approximate price of 200 euros.

The smallest speakers in the family are portable and resistant to water, dust and even shocks and boast a battery with up to 12 hours of autonomy.

They also have the ULT button to enhance bass and are designed to work both standing and lying down.

It will be available this month in black, forest gray, ivory white and orange with an approximate price of 140 euros.

It is also portable but its size has already grown considerably compared to the Field 1.

In this case, it also has the same resistance as its little brother, IP-67, but improves the battery with up to 30 hours of autonomy. Additionally, with fast charging you can get 3 hours of playback time in 10 minutes.

It also has the button to improve bass and karaoke and guitar input, and lighting.

It will be sold this month in black for an approximate price of 450 euros.

The sound tower is a very specific product, because in addition to offering great audio quality, its size is not suitable for every home. In addition, it has quite striking lighting.

It is compatible with Karaoke, guitar and TV Sound Booster and can also connect up to 100 compatible speakers.

It will be sold for 1,200 euros.
