NBA: Antetokounmpo and the Bucks regain victory, the Celtics continue

Led in particular by Jayson Tatum, author of 35 points, the Boston Celtics scored a third consecutive victory in the NBA on Monday against the Knicks (114-98), during an evening also marked by the success of the Bucks, who remained on two defeats, against the Bulls (118-109).

With 17 points scored in the last quarter, Tatum was helped by Jaylen Brown (22 points) and Latvian interior Kristaps Porzingis (21 points), who played for the Knicks at the start of his NBA career.

“In the first half, they scored whenever they wanted, but in the second half, we started making stops,” Tatum commented after the match. “We played three times in four days, and now we are going for a series of away matches for a week against some good teams, I hope we can continue our series,” he added.

Second in the Eastern Conference (8 wins-2 losses), the Celtics will travel to Philadelphia on Wednesday evening to face the Sixers of 2023 MVP Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, who are ahead of them in the standings with 8 wins and only one loss.

In Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 35 points to allow the Bucks to bounce back from two consecutive road defeats and win against the Chicago Bulls. Damian Lillard, very clumsy (3 out of 17 on shots), was satisfied with 12 points. With 6 wins for 4 losses, Milwaukee has the same record as the Pacers and Miami, and is in the East behind Philadelphia and Boston.

In the other matches of the evening, the Toronto Raptors came back from a 23-point deficit in the second half to win at home 111-107 against the Wizards, thanks in particular to 39 points from Pascal Siakam.

Finally, Sacramento won at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers 132-120.
