England's international hopefuls James Trafford and Rico Lewis have been called up to the A team for the friendly match against Belgium on Tuesday at Wembley Stadium in London, the English Federation announced on Sunday.
The two players joined the English group at the Tottenham training ground, after the injury withdrawals of Harry Maguire, Kyle Walker and Sam Johnstone the day after the defeat against Brazil (1-0) on Saturday at Wembley.
James Trafford (21), Burnley goalkeeper (penultimate in the Premier League after 29 days), will join the senior group for the first time in his career, after winning the Euro U20s last summer.
For Rico Lewis, on the other hand, a young defender from Manchester City (19 years old) it will be his second appearance within the national team after his presence in coach Gareth Southgate's team during a match in Macedonia in North in November 2023.
