Former world number one and Australian tennis glory, Lleyton Hewitt, unveiled his statue on Wednesday morning, in front of the audience at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, scene of the Australian Open.

Former world number one and Australian tennis glory, Lleyton Hewitt, unveiled his statue on Wednesday morning, in front of the audience at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, scene of the Australian Open.

The work was created to mark his induction into the Australian Tennis Hall of Fame. During his career, Lleyton Hewitt won two Grand Slam tournaments, namely the US Open in 2001 and Wimbledon in 2002. He also reached the final of the Australian Open in 2005, but had to losing to the Russian Marat Saffin.

Lleyton Hewitt became the 46th member of this prestigious Australian Hall of Fame.
