Crash-tests Euro NCAP, a 2019 5-star News

2019 on the top step of the podium with regard to the safety of your car. In the course of the year that has just ended, the Euro NCAP has rated 55 car models: 41 have obtained the maximum score of 5 stars. 2019, then, is the result one of the best years since Euro NCAP – the international project for the evaluation of the safety standards of new cars, which is a partner the Automobile Club of Italy – has begun to assess the safety of vehicles sold in Europe.

Mercedes-Benz CLA (Small Family Cars), Tesla Model 3 & BMW 3 series (Large Family Cars), Subaru Forester (Small Off-Road/MPV), Tesla Model X (Large Off-Roader), Audi A1 & Renault Clio (Qualities), Tesla Model 3 (Hybrid & Electric), and 8 models winners in the various categories – of the Euro NCAP test 2019.

Mercedes-Benz regained the crown in the category of small family, and the CLA model, the alternative sport to the sedan class, the winner of the Best-in-Class end of the year 2018. The CLA has distinguished itself for having achieved the best overall score of the year, with ratings in excess of 90 percent in three of the four areas of evaluation. The German House in 2019 has presented five other models, all evaluated with the maximum score, with the excellent performance of the technologies ADAS driver assistance.

The Tesla Model 3 is in the top of the category of family vehicles “large”, ex aequo with the 3-Series of BMW. The German was significantly better in the protection of pedestrians, while the american total, for systems ADAS. In this category, is second ranked the new Škoda Octavia.

In class small Suv won the new Subaru Forester, with excellent performance in all the tests. Second place ex aequo for Mazda CX-30 and the VW T-Cross. The japanese was highlighted with the model Mazda 3, that has achieved excellent performance in the protection of the occupants “adult”, taking second place in the category for small family, behind the superstar Mercedes-Benz CLA.

Also in the class of the Account you register an ex-aequo between the sporty Audi A1 and Renault Clio (both in the last version presented in 2019), for years one of the sedans with the most popular and sold in Europe. Well the new edition to the Ford Puma, second in the standings. Special mention to the BMW Z4 for the excellent performance, the unique roadster cylinder head in 2019, which has set a new benchmark in this segment, with regards to safety.

Another note of merit for the Tesla, the first and second classified in the category “electric and hybrid vehicles”, respectively, with models 3 and X. The latter model is, also, the winner in the category of large Suv. Second place for the SEAT Tarraco.
