2024 Olympic Games: “Anne Hidalgo made bad political decisions behind the Games”, points out Amélie Oudéa-Castera

The words of the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo do not pass. As a reminder, the latter had announced that Paris 2024 “would not be ready” on the issue of transport. While Clément Beaune, the Minister of Transport and Valérie Pécresse have already responded to him, Amélie Oudéa-Castera, the Minister of Sports, also addressed him in a tackle as part of the Étoiles du Sports this Sunday.

“I consider that Anne Hidalgo made bad political decisions behind the Games and I think that this is not acceptable,” Oudéa-Castera first argued. Before adding: “We need to have a team spirit, all in our roles and our responsibilities to be absolutely fully present and involved in the task. First of all, I am completely willing to say that this or that dimension of the Games must be further reworked, that certain access points must be accelerated, that on others there is an additional risk that has arisen. This lucidity is important. Before assuring that the organization will be ready in eight months: What I cannot accept is when we say "we will not be ready", by condemning in advance a team to which we are supposed to belong. Thousands of people, in this case on the subject of transport, are working hard to ensure that we are ready. And we will be ready.”
