The Brit Whiting began his career in 1977 for the team Hesketh, a British team from 1973 to 1978 and participated in the Formula 1. In the 80s he worked together with the subsequent F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone for the team Brabham. In 1988, he joined the FIA. Whiting was since 1997 racedirecteur.
