Trump hasn't lived in Ohio but he won the state handily both in 2016 and 2020.
"Let us reveal the 3,154,834 Ohio voters that cast their ballot into re-elect Donald J. Trump we as a legislature understand the achievements of his government," the email stated.
Other contemporary presidents that have state-level vacations include Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan.
Even though June 14 is the former president's birthday, it is also Flag Day, that was launched in the previous century to indicate the date of their adoption of this American Flag in 1777.
One Democrat said he believed that June 14 will be"disrespectful."
"I really don't like the notion of altering an present national holiday which honors the flag," state Rep. Jeff Crossman, D-Parma, advised.
