the ministry of Justice acted in breach of good administrative behaviour, when, in the month of June told the DR and the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, that would raise a case on the dissolution of the gang Loyal to Familia (LTF).
the Ministry gave the first LTF's lawyer message five minutes before the story was published by the media, and it is, according to the Parliamentary Ombudsman, Jørgen Steen Sørensen, "very disputable".
In a statement, published on Tuesday, the ombudsman concludes that the general principles of equality and objectivity has been breached.
- Not at least in a case of this nature it is important that the authorities involved in any way in dealing with this matter in a way that supports confidence in them.
the Danish policy - 28. jun. 2018 - at. 19:18 the attorney general would prohibit gang
- in my view, the Ministry's approach is not supported such trust, says the Parliamentary Ombudsman, Jørgen Steen Sørensen.
He criticises, furthermore, that the ministry of Justice did not respond to Ekstra Bladet and TV2, who had asked for the same story.
DR and the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten got the story and interview with, among others, the minister of justice on the promise that they would not publish it before a pre-agreed time.
the ministry of Justice to the ombudsman regretted the parts of the course and has tightened up its internal procedures for such solohistorier.
After the story was leaked to the media, revealed a sms-correspondence between the minister of justice, mr Søren Pape poulsen's spin doctor, Peter Utzon Berg, and DR's political correspondent, Christine Corsen, as Radio24Syv had gained an insight into, to the ministry of Justice tried to push the DR and the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten not to contact the LTF's lawyer, prior to publication.
Jyllands-Posten chose, however, to contact the defence lawyer, while the DR subsequently regretted their role in the case.
- I think we should have called Eriksen at an earlier time. It was a mistake. But it is not, because we make an agreement with the ministry of Justice. It is because we were too eager to get a solo story, and therefore we would keep the story in as few people as possible in order to avoid, that it could leak. But the consideration is not more important, than that we are calling for Eriksen, said DR's news chief, Christian Lindhardt, to Radio24Syv.
