Cecilia Wikström was the Liberal top candidate for EU parliamentary elections in may, but was deposed by the powers, after having refused an ultimatum to leave their two assignments in the boards of companies.
the Liberals will keep partiråd at the end of march and is expected to make a decision about a new list to the EUROPEAN elections – with a new one.
Now, writes Cecilia Wikström on Facebook that she will not say no to a place a bit further down on the list. She hopes in that case that voters should check out her and say that it is up to them to decide whether the politicians should be allowed to continue its work in Brussels or not.
”Many members ask me if I, despite what has happened, is prepared to be available further down on the Liberals ' list to the european Parliament. I will not actively seek such a place, but if partirådets members believe that I would be able to help attract voters in order to secure our party's influence in the european Parliament through this so I will accept the place. In this case, it will be up to the voters to determine if I should continue my work in the european Parliament or not,” she writes.
from the top of the list on 9 march she said to DN that she had wanted to continue.
" I am committed, I have not chosen one or the other, she said.
Petningen came after the SVT's revealing that Cecilia Wikström get 70.000 sek in salary to their directorships of Beijer-Alma, and Elekta, and earn by far the most on the books of the Swedish EU-parliamentarians.
the DN has sought Wikström for a comment.
