Deceased musician's brother: Knew nothing of drug addiction

on Monday evening, 20. February died the singer Kira Skov's husband, bassist Nicolai Munch-Hansen.

'the cause of Death is yet unknown, but is probably due to an accidentally fatal combination of drugs and alcohol,' wrote Kira Forest on the tragedy via her management in a communication to the Ekstra Bladet on Friday morning.

It is still unclear what exactly happened when the 39-year-old musician has died, says his brother, Christian Munch-Hansen, to Ekstra Bladet.

- I will not come up with some conjecture. I will have to have security. I was not aware that Nikolai had a misuse. It has not been clear, says the concerned brother.

Christian Munch-Hansen is the older brother of Nicolai, and he is convinced that it was not with the will, if his brother really took a fatal combination of drugs and alcohol.

- Nicolai was not an unhappy person. He was a strong-willed person. He was once in, he loved music, food, art and his family. My brother was known as a happy and optimistic person. There is talk about an accident, he has simply taken something that he shouldn't have taken, says Christian Munch-Hansen, and continues:

- But he has also had it hard, as he himself has expressed. It is not easy to be a musician when you are so uncompromising, as Nicolai was, and only bothered to play the music you think is bold. Everyday life becomes tough, when you must have ends meet, so he has also been the pressure.

The two brothers had a very close relationship, and therefore was Christian Munch-Hansn also very surprised when his brother suddenly died.

- We have followed each other always, and so through the music. I myself am a music teacher and jazz critic, so we had it in common. We had a really good broderforhold. But Nicholas was not the type who baldrede out of everything, he was reserved, and I think also, that his friends can recognize, says the brother.

Nicolai Munch-Hansen had been with Kira Skov in many years, and the couple has a son, Morgan on four years together. In addition, the musician also his daughter Nora 14-year-old from a previous relationship.

Kira Woods wrote yesterday on his facebook profile, that the grief is unbearable.

At the beginning of the week, the 39-year-old Nicolai Munch-Hansen opened, and then the family can perhaps come closer to an answer.
