today, live Carsten in his childhood home with his wife, Mette, while their three children have flown the nest. Their youngest suffers from a rare, hereditary eye disease, and it got Carsten to take an interest in his biological origins.

I found my father. It was just not there, the disease came from. In return I got a brother as a 60-year-old smiles, before he suddenly looking out at the havedøren and blinks with the eyes. They are full of water.

- We only managed to get one and a half years together. He died two years ago in a traffic accident. That jumped a deer out in front of the car.

Carsten blow-off. Hold on kaffekruset and takes a sip. They were contemporaries, and although they first learned to know each other as adult men associated the quickly a broderbånd.

Now Carsten is an only child again. One, but not alone. In fact there are so many people in his life, that it is hard to make time for it all.

Until then, work Carsten as falckredder. A job he has had for 37 years, but in his time he became a trained mechanic.

- I thought the electrician could be anything, so mom drove me up to the electrician, but he was damned sure not at home the day. So we went across the road to the mechanic, and then I got an apprenticeship there.

Carsten laughs. Life is full of coincidences. He just hope, chance lets him be a bit yet.

- We plan to stay as long as we can - hopefully for many years. But you never know. I have had a few blood clots, so it can happen all of a sudden.

- Actually I would prefer from here on the way. I will not sit by and not be able to a damn thing. But 63 years of age, it is as yet too early.

Slice-the region has plenty of water, but Carsten and family are landlubbers. Or was. For the previous summer, his daughter Vibeke out on a trip around the world in his own sailboat.

- It is a love the daughter I have, she looks like her mother. She gets all sorts of ideas, and they should just be brought out in life.

First seemed Carsten, that it was crazy of her to say its good job in Maersk up, but he ended up with to enjoy the good of his daughter's adventure.

- We sailed with in four months from Tobago through the panama canal to the galápagos islands. It was the life.
