The CNMV authorizes Berlusconi's takeover bid for Mediaset España

The National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has authorized this Thursday the public offer for the acquisition (opa) of shares launched on March 15 by the Italian audiovisual group Media For Europe (MFE), controlled by the Berlusconi family, on the 100% of the share capital of its Spanish subsidiary Mediaset España.

The National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has authorized this Thursday the public offer for the acquisition (opa) of shares launched on March 15 by the Italian audiovisual group Media For Europe (MFE), controlled by the Berlusconi family, on the 100% of the share capital of its Spanish subsidiary Mediaset España.

The MFE offer, admitted for processing by the CNMV almost a month ago, is addressed to the entire capital of Mediaset España -owner of the Telecinco and Cuatro networks-, although 55.69% of the group's shares must be excluded Spanish that already controls
