TotalEnergies posted $6.7 billion in third-quarter profits

High prices for oil, gas and electricity benefit the French energy giant. The TotalEnergies group recorded a profit of $6.7 billion in the third quarter, a slight increase of 1.5% compared to the same quarter of 2022 marked by record profits for the French major, announced this Thursday the company. The group generated an adjusted gross operating surplus (Ebitda) of $13.1 billion, down 32.5% year-on-year.

Welcoming “the relevance of its strategy”, the firm announced to its shareholders the distribution of a third interim dividend of 0.74 EUR/share for the 2023 financial year, an increase of more than 7% per year. compared to 2022, according to its press release.
