“That’s all, for the moment…”: “La Voix” from the show Secret Story is coming this Thursday to the RER and the Paris metro

“Here is the Voice, to all travelers. The Voice has an announcement of the greatest importance. It is with this message, carried by the recognizable timbre of the icon of the reality TV show “Secret Story”, and propelled through the loudspeakers of Parisian transport, that some users began their day on Thursday. Messages broadcast at the Charles de Gaulle Étoile, Châtelet and Nation stations on line 1, at Gare du Nord, Nation and Châtelet on line 4, but also on line 14 and the RER A. A way for the former flagship program of TF1 to promote its big return to the air, after the channel's confirmation in October. “La Voix” therefore replaced for a few hours the traditional voice... of the RATP.

During his interventions, broadcast every 20 minutes, Dominique Duforest, the man behind this mysterious character, asked passengers to “stay attentive to these often forgotten bags which disrupt your journeys”. If “the Voice and the RATP want (the) secrets to be well kept”, the character launched his famous line by way of conclusion: “And don't forget, be wary of appearances. That's all for the moment..."

Users were both taken aback and delighted by the videos posted on social networks. The Régie confirmed that it was indeed “La Voix” from the flagship show. But why did you agree to participate in such a communications campaign? The RATP explains: it wanted to “make travelers aware of forgotten luggage by appealing to them in a unique and fun way.”

A way to “stand out and offer differentiating formats to your travelers”. The transport company recalls having already broadcast, some time ago, sound announcements with children's voices. Could other promotional campaigns, like these, become commonplace from now on? “It’s a one-off operation. No other operation of this type is planned at the moment,” replies the RATP.
