The Senate adopted Tuesday evening, in the bill “for full employment”, a government amendment creating “a digital backpack” for workers with disabilities, which will trace the accommodations they have benefited from during of their career.
The measure was announced at the Disability Conference on April 26. This involves creating a personal digital file that belongs to each person with a disability and lists all the accommodations they have benefited from throughout their life. This is to facilitate the implementation of new arrangements when she integrates training or when she finds a job. This provision must "facilitate the mobility" of workers with disabilities, said the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt.
Rapporteur Pascale Gruny (LR) welcomed “a long-awaited measure” which “will help people with disabilities, in particular their integration into a new job”.
