Severe rheumatism brought Roma-gypsy Miro from ‘The Voice’ to Belgium: There are days that I don't get out of bed, touch the pain
TV Coach Natalia calls him ‘virtuoso’, but her poulain Miroslav Gabor (26) stepping with knees to the knockouts. “There are a lot of better singers than me,” he says this week in All.

Gentenaar Miroslav - Miro for the friends is without a doubt the odd one out of team Natalia. Not least by his zigeunerroots. And by his choice of music, because with a ‘Hello’ from Adele he goes for a tricky number. “I know that I myself do not easy to create with this song, but I like challenges,” says Miro. “I must to me prove. I'm always a bit unsure and find that there are much better singers in ‘The Voice’ than I do. Natalia says that I should not doubt and call me even a virtuoso.”

What a compliment!

you can Say that again. Singing is my passion. Though I had never thought that someone for me would turn out... I come from a musical family. Well, with Roma gypsies is singing in the blood. As a child I sang always on birthdays and parties. All I keep now is more of soul and R&B than the typical Roma-songs.

There are a lot of prejudices around the Roma. Have you by chance need to compete?

it's not That bad. At school and at work, and I am very normally treated. I have a diploma as publiciteitsillustrator. I was ten when we got to Belgium moved because my dad here found a job. You also have two types of Roma-gypsies, hey: groups who travel around in caravans and those who are somewhere permanent to live, study and work, such as my family.

Why chose you calculated for Belgium?

I have all of kindsaf severe rheumatism and in Belgium were the medical treatments better. Nevertheless, I can on some days still my bed, not out of pain.

Hopefully that rheumatism is not in the way in the coming weeks.

I hope so too, because I would love a music career and expanding my own songs to write and publish.
