Ruth Beeckmans, traveled for VTM with mother Chrisje to South Africa: All the dangerous things did mama just take

TV Ruth Beeckmans (36) is everywhere: in Studio Tarara', the film 'Trio' and tonight's new VTM-programme "Road with our ma'. Therein she pulls with her mother, Chrisje (60) to South Africa. "Our band became closer, falling often between us."

Not only the gang from the One-program 'Down the Road' is tonight in South Africa, also in 'Gone with our ma' on VTM goes in the direction of Cape town. The destination chose actress Ruth Beeckmans, not just because South Africa is the native country of her husband Gary. Let him, however, they are at home, because it is her mama Chrisje Pype who travels.

The two can be comfortable for the sisters to continue. Appearance, because in character they are very different. "We are both very, very explosive," laughs Chrisje.

On what level you have each other surprised, there in South Africa?

Ruth: "I knew mama as someone who is always anxious and everywhere risks saw, but they just did all the dangerous things. That I had never expected of it."

'Chrisje': "Ah, I thought: 'I'm here now, so I just do it.'"

You experienced some special moments with animals.

Ruth: "I had a magical moment with a crocodile, yes. I had a connection with, really."

'Chrisje': "(laughs) That dácht Ruth anyway. I'm sober in."

Ruth: "Come on ma, even that man of that krokodillencentrum said that he had never experienced. That crocodile, and I fell in a kind of trance, as if we could talk. That was so wonderful, I was really completely moved and felt very special. Did you know that my dream is to someday a dierenprogramma to present?"

your mother has a special bond with animals, hey?

Ruth: "Since the children have left home, my parents have a strange fascination with dachshunds developed. They do now even walks with the teckelclub. We are simply replaced by three dogs, which are their children now. (laughs)"

'Chrisje': "do Not exaggerate, Ruthje. But it is true: after my husband and the children are the dogs. That is also part of the family. My husband and I work as a courier. Erik takes each day to take a dog to work, and I the other two. That is fine company, you know."

Ruth: "I think it's very cool that they were so able to indulge in their hobby. My parents have always been crooked work us all to be able to give. A newsagent to operate is a hard profession, and it does not deliver as well much. Mom and dad are asked to kids started - I have a sister who's seven years older and a four year older brother who lives in Australia - but they are always a strong couple remained. Is your band since the trip changed?

'Chrisje': "'Away with our ma' is a very nice souvenir that we will always share. But it is falling regularly between us, you know. (laughs) Fortunately, the fights are always quickly resolved."

Your band is one of love and also a lot of irritation, you say in the beginning of the program, Ruth.

Ruth: "That is lovingly referred to, hey. But it is true: there are already intense moments. Had mom gray hair, I had hair that is definitely concerned."
