Giaguaro V1R by Soriano Motori, the motorcycle that Leonardo da Vinci would have

"In my life I have created my own world." Marco Antonio Soriano IV (1980), with the second surname Scholtz von Hermensdorff, is not just another businessman. For him "there are three ways to manage your life to be a successful person." The first is academic: "I always tell my children: You have to study." Then there is corporate training "to understand how to work as a team." And thirdly, what he calls street smart, that is, "knowing how to treat both high society and the most humble person." For the manager, this "is the way to make yourself loved, to understand the people, the consumer and the end customer," he acknowledges as we chat on the terrace of the Ritz, where he feels at home since his great-grandfather was one of the founders.

In the early 2010s, Marco Antonio Soriano IV took over the family business and created Soriano Global Holdings Limited Trust to expand his portfolio in America and Europe and urged his four brothers to join (Carlos Xavier Soriano, engineer, is the person responsible for the 9/11 Memorial), launches the family office. "I'm already thinking about multigenerational succession. I'm the fourth generation, my son is the fifth... and I'm already looking at the sixth." The dream of every family business.

From Soriano's global vision, the emblematic first Spanish motorcycle brand Soriano Motori is reborn in Italy, created by his grandfather Ricardo Soriano II in 1941, as well as Soriano Fashion and Mondo Soriano Metaverse, aligning past with present and, above all, "diversifying creativity using the beauty and interpretation of art. I love classical, Renaissance and everything creative."

The first Soriano of this century is already electric, the Giaguaro V1, which will be released at the Eicma in Milan (the motorcycle show par excellence) in 2022, offering 220 km/h. Then the Giaguaro V2 will arrive a year later. Today, Soriano Motori's portfolio includes three evolved versions based on the Giaguaro platform - the Giaguaro Gara, Giaguaro V1S and Giaguaro V1R -, with a catalog of accessories for the motorcycle, always in the premium segment.

At the top of the step is the Giaguaro V1R which starts at 45,995 euros. This jaguar (from the Italian giaguaro) designed at the group's Luxury Intelligence Unit in Lecco (Italy), can be customized to advance in finishes and performance (it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds). Thus, you can opt for a chromatic finish of the body in grey, yellow, blue, green or cream for an additional 1,250 euros; brake calipers (which bite the double 320 mm floating front disc and a 260 mm rear disc) in a bronze finish for 450 euros; color change also for the fork - articulated Girder type (suspension with a central shock absorber at the height of the steering post) and 110 mm of travel (the rear shock absorber is 125 mm) - upon request at checkout; gel seat (which is 820 mm from the ground) with Alcantara finish for 800 euros.

You can also choose wheels (five spokes and measuring 17" front and rear) to replace the standard Piega, which are forged in aluminum, between a Legend for an additional 1,000 euros, a lighter magnesium alloy Cattiva for an extra 1,500 euros or some aluminum alloy Gass, for 2,500 euros more, all in different finishes such as Gold. And even the sound, with a package that includes, for 800 euros, a classic Silent EV, a suggestive Sound of the Future and the Urban EV, which imitates a combustion engine. Playing with the options, the V1S Giaguaro reaches up to 38,300 euros. All on request.

The heart of the Giaguaro is a new double motor (DuoFlex) that delivers up to 62 kW of maximum power (80 HP equivalent). With intelligent management, they are coordinated to be efficient at all times, achieving up to 240 km of autonomy thanks to their double 20 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery that recharges, in the case of the normal option, in six hours, and If it is quick, in at least an hour.

Genius men are the ones who start great works, but it is the workers who finish them, said Da Vinci, and Marco Antonio Soriano IV leaves nothing half done. Renaissance 5.0.
