Maracena City Council is continuing to work towards disinfection in the streets and neighborhoods of the municipality, to make them more secure at the beginning of the de-escalation. They have also made the decision to continue this work in public places in the metro area, as they are returning to administrative duties on Monday, May 18.
To ensure maximum safety and hygiene against Covid-19, all Maracena public schools have been cleaned. The Hopscotch Nursery School has been also thoroughly cleaned. They also disinfected the municipal library, and the parish church. As expected, Monday will be the first day of de-escalation in the Province of Granada.
The library will be open for book returns and loan. All of these measures are designed to minimize the possibility of spreading coronavirus among the residents of the municipality. Noel Lopez, the mayor of the city, confirmed that "we continue working and in the next days we will take new actions to provide maximum security for our city."
