30,166 corona cases were reported to the RKI yesterday.
This means that the number of cases is again above the level of the previous week - like yesterday and the day before yesterday, when it was positive again for the first time since July 20th.
The 7-day average of new cases increases accordingly for the third day in a row.
Compared to the previous week, the 7-day average is only one percent down.
The last time the curve with the 7-day average turned from the red area towards the zero line was at the beginning of June - at the beginning of the summer wave
It is of course possible that the last three days will prove to be outliers.
What is striking, however, is that the numbers, which are increasing again, appear in most federal states at the same time.
Today the incidence is increasing again in 12 of the 16 federal states, the exceptions being Berlin, Brandenburg, Schleswig-Holstein and NRW.
This is also an indication that the end of the holiday season does not play a decisive role in several federal states.
The nationwide incidence increases slightly, from 230 to 231.
In a week-on-week comparison, it is up again today for the first time in seven weeks, albeit only minimally.
Overall, in 10 of the 16 federal states, the incidence is higher today than it was a week ago
82 corona deaths were reported to the RKI yesterday.
That's 38 fewer than a week ago.
In total, we are at 537 deceased in the current week.
