Cs aims to make El Ejido an orange bastion

Vicente Garcia Egea (Cs candidate) held an informative breakfast at La Costa Restaurant this morning to discuss the plan his party has for El Ejido. This municipality is very important to Citizens as it shows that the number two of the province will be ejido Rosa Maldonado (Provincial Coordinator of the Andalusian Youth Institute), in a list that also includes Maria Herminia Padial, ejido councilor.

Garcia Egea highlighted in this way the investments and projects that were made by the regional government, and in particular the orange formation, in the municipality. This also influences the future roadmap that Cs has for ejido. This roadmap combines tourism and agriculture, as well as betting on technology and training. Special attention is paid to young people.

Garcia Egea stated that "This municipality is already an undisputed benchmark, with an internationally agricultural model, which makes them the perfect setting for developing new products that will continue to activate their economy." He emphasized the El Ejido Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan, "Fusing land and water", which was developed with the cooperation of various national, regional, and local administrations and will require an investment of over 3.2million euros. The Itinere Plan was mentioned, as well as investments in roads, such as the link between Roquetas, Almerimar, via a bike trail through the natural area Punta Entina Sabinar. There were also mentions of investments in water and investments in the Poniente Hospital, which has been qualified to be a University Hospital. , as well as the launch of the new Medicine Degree from the UAL.

He also mentioned the 31 million euro investment in the arrangement reform, expansion, and new educational centres, such as Almerimar's new CEIP Almerimar, or the commitment for Dual Vocational Training. He also highlighted that 40 new Dual Vocational Training cycles were launched in the province over the past year, with more than 800 companies.

Garcia Egea also mentioned the tax reductions that have been made with Cs on the Board. He stated that fiscal measures had been taken that have benefitted the residents of the ejido.

This was how the Cs candidate to the Parliament Of Andalusia For Almeria demonstrated the will of his party towards taking "El Ejido to a position that has it as a leader within a sector but that diversifies its economic and takes advantage the opportunities to create those synergies which give rise to a more global economy, and new opportunities for people who work here>>

Garcia Egea, on the other hand, was proud of the work done by Cs in the Andalusian Government. He pointed out that "a sheet full of fulfilled promises" is being described, but he also acknowledged that there are still unanswered issues, such as the Circular Economy law, the further development and expansion of Dual Vocational Training, Decarbonisation Plan, homogeneous development across all counties, or the field for incorporation of women.

Rosa Maldonado, for her part, stressed the importance of Cs' support to "young people, the self-employed, and we don't want there to be any brain drain towards other autonomous community". She also noted that "almost half of the new self employed in 2021 was younger than 35", pointing out the 60% increase in assistance to young people and entrepreneurship.
