Alleged perpetrator returns to crime scene and shoots reporter and girl

Just hours after a 20-year-old woman was fatally shot in Pine Hills, a Florida suburb, the suspected killer returned to the scene and opened fire on a team of reporters who were covering the crime. A 24-year-old journalist was killed on Wednesday afternoon. The cameraman suffered life-threatening injuries.

According to the current status of the Orange County sheriff's investigation, the alleged perpetrator is said to have subsequently broken into a nearby apartment building. There he is said to have shot a nine-year-old girl and seriously injured her mother with further shots. The girl died on the way to the hospital.

The suspected shooter was arrested a few hours after the last crime. Prosecutors have since charged the 19-year-old with murder. At a press conference, Sheriff John Mina called the suspect a criminal. The young man has previously been charged with assault, robbery and weapons offenses.

He is said to have known the first victim, the 20-year-old whom he killed in her car.
