VIDEO. Duo crashes during pursuit after robbery at dealer (86)

Putte Different police forces have this afternoon a large manhunt held in Putte. Two men went there shortly after the afternoon off with a few thousands of dollars from an 86-year-old trader from Heist-op-den-Berg. One of the suspects has been arrested. “The man will shortly appear before the magistrate,” confirms parketwoordvoerster Lieselotte Claessens.

The brazen theft happened around 13 hours at a dealer in fuels along the Oude Liersebaan. “They came in and behaved very nervous,” says general manager Armand. “When they had to pay, pushed one of them a sheet of paper in my face while the other me vastgreep.”

The two went off with the wallet of the eighties with a few thousands of euros. They beat then on the flight with a Volkswagen Golf with English license plates. “I immediately, the police are called and then my son informed”, the eighties further.

Crash

The police of Heist-op-den-Berg came on the spot and combed the area. Not much later, the suspicious vehicle from the thieves noticed on the way to the centre of Heist. The police went in pursuit and was supported by their colleagues from Bodukap and a Winch.

At the height of the intersection of the Schrieksesteenweg with Zevenbunder in Putte, crashed it vluchtvoertuig against a road sign and a concrete closure of a property. “I was startled by a loud bang.
