Linda assaulted by unknown men: They said not a word

The 38-year-old Linda Kareliusson, who is the mother of two children, was attacked and beaten till the blood ran down by unknown men in the Swedish city of Gävle.

An elderly couple, who were witness to the inexplicable act of violence, might have stopped the robbers to respond. But they chose to look in a different direction, and she rang nor subsequent to the police to report the assault. It tells Linda in an interview with Expressen and in a posting on Facebook.

the attack happened four years ago, but Linda is still psychologically affected by the brutal act of violence. And it pains her that they never found the perpetrators. Linda has still not been told why some unknown men chose to assault her. And she knows also not subject to their violence.

The brutal assault happened at Easter four years ago. Linda had spent a lovely day with her in-laws at Söder in central Gävle, where she left her then two-year-old son of svigerforældrene, because she the first time since the birth was alone in the city together with some friends.

Linda went from svigerforældrenes home and out on the street. She had her hands in the pocket, because it was very cold. Almost the same get Linda suddenly a hard push in the back. The strange thing about the attack was that it was only one of the men who performed the actual acts of violence. The other three just stood and so on. And there was none of the four men who said a single word.

- Two of the men came with in the attack. But the third just stood and checked his cell phone. I thought that he would be filming the attack, but he surfed around on his mobile, telling Linda and adds:

- the Feeling that there was no reason to, that I was beaten, is almost the worst. It feels as if they beat me for fun. In their eyes I was nothing.

But the which today torments Linda aller most is, however, not the actual abuse, but the fact that the attack might be avoided or stopped. While Linda lay helpless on his stomach with their attacker, so she namely an older couple with a dog coming towards us on the sidewalk.

I suddenly had hope again, and I could scream. I screamed for my life and for that they should help me, I thought that I would be rescued.

The older couple grabbed neither in order to stop the violence or call for the police. But after a while stopped the offender, his acts of violence, and the four young men left the scene of the crime and left it bleeding Linda on the sidewalk.

Linda threw then his shoes and ran over to his girlfriend to call the police, who immediately launched a hunt for the perpetrators by, among other things, a hundepatrulje. It succeeded, however, not to identify the men. And a few months after the case was disbanded, due to lack of evidence.

Linda was fortunately no lasting damage after the attack. Her fractured ribs grew together, and the bruises all over the body disappeared. Today she has only a small bright ar at the one eye.

But in spite of the liver Linda in the day each day with the memories of the terrible assault. Let down from the elderly couple, and uncertainty about, why she was attacked.

After the attacked had Linda find it difficult to stand in a queue in a supermarket. She could not tolerate that there were strangers behind her back.

- For the perpetrators, it's about 15 minutes of their life, but I've got a lifetime, " says Linda with a very precise and apt expression.
