Hunters shoot 17 wild boar in Meerdaalwoud

Oud-Heverlee In Meerdaalwoud in Oud-Heverlee, hunters have 17 wild boars shot. That was necessary for the growing population to keep under control. It was already the third time that hunted is the wild boar. “At the moment there are about 100 wild boars in Meerdaalwoud. They do a lot of good but if the population becomes too large then they cause damage,” says Bart Meuleman of the Nature and Forest Agency.

Fifty hunters and seventy-trackers gathered rose in behalf of the Agency for Nature and Forest, Meerdaalwoud in Oud-Heverlee to hunt wild boar.
