Delhaize put a security guard in against nuisance by loitering in Diest

Diest During their middagpauzes meet regularly small groups of students to the Delhaize in the Hasseltsestraat in the centre of Diest. Some eat there braafjes their meal but individuals nuisance in the parking lots. The last months got the store about this from many customers complaints and staff was by the young people threatened. Delhaize now has an external security hired to keep an eye on things to keep.

The inconvenience is a problem in the parking lot for the store and the underground car park. The young people go there to smoke and stitches vandalenstreken. The problem was with the surrounding schools, the police and the city council discussed, but that diplomatic pressure helped tut so far. the

“It is true that school-aged youth in the afternoon for any problems caused,” says Roel Dekelver, spokesman for Delhaize. Customers were intimidated and staff threatened. We would, however, not all school-aged youth about the same scattergun, though. There are many young people that afternoon, a lunch pick up. If that clean their food in the parking lot, where even the picnic tables, to eat there is no problem. Unfortunately, there are some individuals whose conduct leaves something to be desired. Starting today, we will have to rely on an external security guard to be there to see. We strive that our customers have a pleasant shopping and want to provide a pleasant working environment.”
