education choices can be an unmanageable size, when you're a kid. It is basically a free choice on all shelves, and you can be just that which you dream about.
But some times then there is quite a bit, and then bursts the illusion of a dream job. This was how it was for Anne Kaltoft, who today is director of Hjerteforeningen.
She tells in this week's edition of the radio program ’Dahl on the Hack’, that she actually would have been a veterinarian since she was a child.
Hack Psychologist: - Dogs may not feel the sorrow
- In the eighth or ninth grade, I had a work experience at the vet. It was an old fashioned vet who drove out to the farms, it was at that time, there were farms with mixed use. That, I think, was deeply fascinating to be with, because I helped a calf into the world, castrated pigs, and cut the tails, tells Anne Kaltoft.

the Vet, as the young animal lover was running around with in the Randers area, received very quickly killed Anne Kaltofts ungpigedrømme to save Our animal husbandry and become the animal's friend. The old veterinarian's arguments was that the times were changing, and the young Anne was of the female sex.
- I was very busy to be a veterinarian, but then said Knud Lundbæk, as he was called, something very wise to me. He thinks I should consider it to be the vet one more time, for the movement in Denmark went in the direction of fewer and fewer mixed farms and herds and larger and larger scale.
- He thought that it would be difficult for me to support me as a veterinarian, if I wanted it 'with everything'. I might well get a small clinic, where I supervised the parrots or small dogs, and cats. Otherwise I could get on a fjerkræslagteri, but he thought it would be hard for me to get to make it, I would, and it would perhaps not make it easier, that I was a woman, tells Anne Kaltoft of the truth from the vet.
The young Anne chose to listen to the Knud Lundbæk. She dropped to rescue the animals, and instead focused she is on to rescue people. She was later trained hjertelæge and was for many years senior physician at the hjerteafdelingen in Skejby, Aarhus university Hospital.
