Donald Trump has officially announced on Twitter the appointment of the ambassador of the Usa in Germany Richard Grenell as interim director of National intelligence, who coordinates all the 17 intelligence agencies in the us.
"I have the pleasure to announce that our highly respected ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell will become the interim director of National Intelligence", has tweeted the president of the Usa.
"Rick has represented our Country extremely well, and I can't wait to work with him," he continued, thanking the current chief pro-tempore, Joe Maguire for his "wonderful work" and saying that he is "looking forward to working closely with him, maybe with another job in the administration".
In June 2018, Granell had been the centre of controversy because he was let go in an interview at the site of the far-right Breitbart to an enthusiastic triumph of the populist right that is taking place in Europe. The ambassador stressed to feel "excited" in front of "the wave of political conservative" emerged in the old continent after the alleged "failure of the policies of the left" and promised to "support" the populism rampant.
