Timothée Chalamet, loyal supporter of Saint-Étienne

Actor Timothée Chalamet, currently promoting the film Wonka in which he plays the lead, has been a fervent supporter of AS Saint-Étienne for many years. During an interview for 50 Minutes Inside, he even declared: “I spent a lot of time at Le Chaudron supporting Bafétimbi Gomis, Dimitri Payet, Jérémie Janot... I’m really a fan!” A passion that is not new. As evidenced by this passage on Seth Meyers' famous Late Night show in 2019.

Despite the descent into hell in recent years, Timothée Chalamet remains faithful to the club that rocked his childhood when it was still in Ligue 1. During these various interventions in the media, he always tries to establish a reference or a nod to his favorite club.

Having a dual culture with his French father and his American mother, it was in his youth that this love for the Greens developed. When he was younger, he often went to France for vacations, to his father's family in Chambon-sur-Lignon, an hour from Saint-Étienne. Even after leaving for the United States, the actor remained attached to the club despite the hard times.
